Cell Phones for Soldiers: Your old cell phone, iPod or empty ink cartridge can mean a call home for a soldier. Liberty Tax Service (www.libertytax.com) has collected more than 80,000 used cell phones as a National Premier Partner for Cell Phones for Soldiers, a nonprofit organization that recycles old phones to buy calling cards for soldiers overseas. Every donated phone can buy a calling card up to 100 minutes. Liberty Tax Service welcomes other businesses to participate and will provide collection boxes and ship phones collected back to Cell Phones for Soldiers.
