School Board meeting is Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The Pinellas County School Board will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the district administration building, 301 Fourth St. SW, Largo.

The public is invited. Anyone wishing to speak on agenda or nonagenda items can do so by filling out a form at or before the meeting. Citizens can speak about any item on the agenda not involving a hearing on employee discipline by registering five minutes before the item is introduced.

The meeting will be televised at 6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays for two weeks after the meeting date. All broadcasts are shown on WPDS Ch. 14, which also appears on Knology Ch. 14 and Bright House Networks Ch. 14.

ACHIEVERS

Student receives school's top achievement honor

Angele H. Maraj, 15, has been named the recipient of the 2007 Mattioli/Noble Recognition Award, given annually by Mattioli School of Music and Arts in St. Pete Beach.

The award is named for Ruby Noble, a former music teacher of Eileen Mattioli. It is the school's highest honor for outstanding achievement.

Angele, a Mattioli student for 10 years, won the Advanced Popular Piano Competition and received superior ratings in the Piano Level 7A and Vocal Evaluation First Year divisions in the 2005 Tri-County Music Festival.

Angele, a junior at Palmetto High School, is the daughter of Stephen and Angela Maraj of Bradenton.
