New board members
Melissa Fahey, chief executive officer of the Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Pasco, 5334 Aspen Street in New Port Richey, is pleased to announce two new board members. They are Abbey Cox, certified medical representative of Sanofi Aventis, and Kathryn Gillette, chief executive officer of HCA Community Hospital.
The clinic is grateful to have an all-volunteer board that includes Ann Hildebrand, president; Shirley Miller, first vice president; Karen Buck, treasurer; Elinor Paladine, recording secretary; Dr. Bharat Desai, medical director; Dr. Stephen Goldman, medical director emeritus; Dr. Scott Horovitz, dental director; Dr. M. Lawrence Saperstein, woman's clinic director; Richard Notaro, pharmacy director; and board members Keith Dunn, Marianne Grabowski, Dr. David Johnson, Jane Kratz, Dr. Maria Soto-Aguilar, Al Torrence and Dr. Marc Yacht.

Sun Toyota of New Port Richey was named recipient of the 2006 Toyota Motor Sales President's Award. The 21st annual award was presented to a select group of dealerships across the country. This is the 12th year that Sun Toyota has received the president's award. Sun Toyota has been recognized for its ongoing community support of the Hope Children's Home, a shelter providing housing and education.
Achiever
Richard C. Williams Jr. was recently board certified by the Florida Bar in the area of Wills, Trusts and Estates. Board certification is the highest level of recognition by the Florida Bar of the competency and experience of attorneys in the areas of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida. Williams grew up in New Port Richey and is a 1979 graduate of Columbia Law School in New York City. He has practiced law in New Port Richey since 1983. Ground breaking
Connerton, the newest Pasco County town, held the ground breaking of the amenities center, Club Connerton, on Aug. 18. Connerton is the nearly 5,000-acre new town currently under development. The event was held at the Gardens Village Center on Connerton Boulevard in Land O'Lakes. The center will feature an aquatic playground, fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, open green spaces and an outdoor amphitheater. New restaurant
Amigos Cafe is now open at 1908 U.S. 19 in Pappas Plaza of Holiday, featuring authentic Southern California cuisine. The owners are David Huebner and Jesse Lund.
