Prepare for hurricanes at 'Day for Dogs'

LAND O'LAKES The Pasco Florida Kennel Club is holding a "Hurricane Preparedness Day for Dogs" from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 8. Rabies vaccines will be $5 each for the first 100 pets; microchips will be $10 each for the first 50 dogs. Lifetime microchip registrations through the American Kennel Club Companion Animal Recovery will be available for just $10. Pasco County dog licenses will be available for $5 for spayed/neutered pets or $20 for dogs that are still intact. Please bring prior license and proof of spaying/neutering. If proof of prior rabies vaccination is submitted, rabies vaccination is valid for three years. Cash only, no credit cards or checks accepted. All dogs must be on a leash or in a kennel carrier.
