TAMPA - Tampa police are investigating three sexual battery cases they believe are connected to four cases being investigated by Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
The Tampa incidents occurred on Aug. 16, 2003, Sept. 28, 2003, and July 15, 2004 within the boundaries of Fowler Avenue to 93rd Avenue and Nebraska Avenue to 15th Street.
In each case, the rapist got into the home through a window, typically between 2 a.m. and 6 a m., Tampa police said. DNA evidence linked those cases to the Sheriff's Office cases. The attacker is black, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 6 to 5 feet 10, 150 to 200 pounds, with short hair. Anyone with information is asked to call (813) 247-8200 or 1-800-873-8477.
