Saturday: The 26th annual Red Mule Runners Labor Day Race at McKethan Lake State Park in Brooksville. Awards will be handed out in each age division with plaques to overall male and female champions and masters male and female champions. Refreshments and fruit provided.
The race will start at 8 a.m. Registration is $15 in advance or $18 on race day at 7 a.m. Visit www.active.comto register or call 352 796-2132 for more information. Register early to secure a T-shirt.
Saturday: Citrus County Speedway features Open Wheel Modified, Mini Cup, Sportsman, Mini Stock, Street Stock, Pure Stock, V8 Thunder Stock, Fig 8. Pit gates open at 2 p.m. and the grandstand gates open at 4 p.m. The first green flag drops at 5:30 p.m. Pit passes are $25 for adults and $20 for children 11 and under. Grandstand tickets are $13 for adults, $9 for students and seniors, $7 for children 11 and under and $4 for children under 42 inches tall. Visit www.citruscountyspeedway.com for more information.
Sept. 8: The 5K Cross Country Race and 2-Mile Fun Walk will be held at Whispering oaks Country Club in Ridge Manor. The first 50 5K registrants will receive a T-shirt. Medals and trophies will be awarded, and all age groups are welcome.
Race day registration will run from 7:30-8 a.m. Race & Walk starts promptly at 8:15 a.m. Preregistration is $20 and $25 on race day. Fun walk registration is $10 anytime. Visit www.sunrisepasco.org/events for registration or call (561) 732-1002 for more information.
Proceeds will benefit Sunrise of Pasco County, a domestic violence and sexual assault center.
