Benefit for feral cats: The Animal Coalition of Tampa ACT hosts a benefit dinner to pay for the spaying and neutering of 26 feral cats cared for by an elderly woman. The dinner will consist of ziti, salad, rolls, dessert and an open wine bar. 6:30 to 10 p.m., Friday; Big Cat Rescue, 12802 Easy St., Tampa; $25 donation per person. Cactus and succulent show: The University of South Florida Botanical Gardens hosts the 14th Annual Central Florida Cactus and Succulent Society Show and Sale. Childbirth preparation class: St. Joseph's-Baptist Health Care offers a one-day crash course for childbirth. The class is designed to teach expectant parents how to be active participants in their child's birth.
