Class B, District 6
By Times staff
Published August 31, 2007
About the district Last year, the Hurricanes had to contend with state championship hopefuls Victory Christian and Keswick Christian, but were outscored 81-9 by the two powerhouses. The good news is Victory Christian has moved on. The bad news is, Keswick Christian hasn't. The district adds two teams that were independents last year - Bradenton Prep (which the Hurricanes beat 18-12) and Sarasota Out-of-Door (which was 6-2). Players to Watch Keswick star RB Jared DiMaggio and WR Tarvin Jones give the Crusaders a dangerous 1-2 punch, making them the clear district favorites. Just ask 5A Pinellas Park, their victims in the spring.e_SClBDid you know? The Hurricanes alternated wins and losses last season, starting with a victory and finishing 5-5. John C.
