Friday Fantasy
If there were such a thing as fantasy high school football, these are the players we would pick:

Tyrone Hendrix
WR, Mitchell
The 5-foot-9, 165-pound senior is Tate Humphrey's go-to guy, and after facing perennial power Land O'Lakes with modest success, look for Hendrix to go off against Gulf. Hendrix has good hands, breakway speed, awareness and a natural relationship with Humphrey.
Ben Perry
LB, Ridgewood
Rough and rugged in the Rams' middle, Perry will be licking his chops at an undersized Hudson roster and a group of guys hoping to make an impact against Ridgewood. Perry and Co. should have no problem shouldering tonight's challenge.
Greg Jenkins
QB, Wesley Chapel
Jenkins is arguably the most exciting player in Pasco County. From his dazzling moves to his sharp comments to his proud mother yelling, "That's my baby!," Jenkins has everything going for him. What better way for it to begin than shutting down soon-to-be rival Wiregrass Ranch.
Duane Marks
RB, Central
The Bears are bent on getting revenge for last year's season-opening thrashing at the hands of Hernando. Expect Marks to get a steady dose of carries.
Tate Humphrey
QB, Mitchell
Gulf coach Jay Fulmer talked this week about how hard it is to plan for the Mustangs' multidimensional senior. Humphrey could be in store for a stellar start to his final season under center.
Shawn Fordand Markel Bell
RBs, River Ridge
River Ridge's "Thunder 'n Lighting" backfield could be poised for a big day against Sunlake's first year program.
