Pasco middle schools

Pasco: 6-0 conference champions. A strong team with returning talent. Seems everyone's head is turned toward Pasco.
Dr. Long: 4-2. Very slow coming out of the gates last season; the new kid on the block finished its last four games with wins. With a year of experience under their belt, the Longhorns look to repeat their performance.
Weightman: 4-2. Long history of being the class of the county; should again be a contender.
Pine View: 3-3. Pine View will be losing at least half of its student body due to a split that spurned Charles Rushe Middle School. With the split, the conference will now have seven teams.
Centennial: 1-5. According to athletic director Margie Faculman, the football team will be enjoying much-needed experience. The team is returning many seventh graders who have had game-time experience.
Stewart: 0-6. Information unavailable.
Charles Rushe: 0-0. New to Pasco County, Rushe is actually a split from Pine View. Both teams will no doubt be affected by the lower attendances. Rushe, however, will boast a higher enrollment than Pine View.e_SClBSchedule

Lost star running back Rickey Trinidad who averaged 15.53 yards per carry on his way to 17 touchdowns.
Bayonet Point: 5-1. Bayonet point hopes to keep up its recent success. The 5-1 season followed its 6-0 season two years ago.
Chasco: 4-2. After losing running back Cameron Rodriguez and quarterback Lawrence Hurst, Chasco hopes to groom a new QB, which coach Gary Hoskins has made a top priority. Hoskins and his squad are coming off the second-best season in school history, only eclipsed by their 2002 undefeated record.
Gulf: 3-3. Another talented team, that has all kind of county coaches talking. "They have a strong group of athletes," Seven Springs basketball coach Rob Aguis said.
Hudson: 3-3. According to Seven Springs athletic director Tim Boggess, Hudson is a team to watch this season. Despite the 3-3 record Hudson had the third-most points in the league with 102 last season.
Paul R. Smith: 1-5. Information unavailable.
River Ridge: 0-6. After a less-than-stellar season, River Ridge trimmed its numbers by making cuts. After starting with 65 kids, team chemistry started to improve as numbers dwindled throughout the season. As far as personnel is concerned, quarterback Robert Peck will again be under center while the defensive line and wide receivers has little experience.e_SClBSept. 11: Bayonet Point at Chasco, River Ridge at Seven Springs, Hudson at Gulf; Sept. 18: Seven Springs at Hudson, River Ridge at Bayonet Point, Gulf at Paul R.
