For Ridgewood, the 25-17, 25-17, 25-17 district win over Central on Thursday wasn't the work of one player.
It was a true team effort.
And the Rams' coach could not have been happier.
"Everyone contributed," coach Amber Starkey said.
Middle hitter Jen Daun led Ridgewood on offense, and Brittany Martin and Madison Pretto sparked the defense.
"They played great as a team," Starkey said. "They came together and stepped it up against a good district team. It was a good win."

The Bulldogs improved to 2-0 behind the play of senior Kristen Arnold, who had 11 assists and six blocks.

Boys: Crystal River 98, Pasco 78
Girls: Crystal River 111, Pasco 72
Both Pasco teams lost to area power Crystal River, but the Pirates weren't without their share of solid performances.
Jennifer Dombrowski won the 500 freestyle and 100 breastroke, and teammate Ali Matias took first in the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle.
"They did very well," Pasco coach Amsler Burn said. "They do well every time for us. They're our go-to swimmers."
Boys golf
Land O'Lakes 164, Hudson 237
Josh Barnett of Land O'Lakes shot 3-over 39 at Beacon Woods and was the only player to break 40. Land O'Lakes did have three players at 41 or better and four at 43 or better.
Hudson was led by Jeff Kerns, who shot 41.
- Mitchell 172, Wiregrass Ranch 199
Kenny Cavender fired 3-over 39 at Crescent Oaks, but his round could have been better.
He tripled the par-3 third.
"I was very impressed with how he rebounded from the triple (bogey) and played even par the rest of the way," Mitchell coach Rick Hyatt said. "That was impressive."
Girls golf
Mitchell 202, Wiregrass Ranch 263
Megan Van Etten led all players with 43 on the par-35 course. She recorded four pars during her round.
