SPRING HILL
Spring Hill Bible Church, 15449 Spring Hill Drive, will present dinner and a Christian movie beginning at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The event is free. The film this week is Never Ashamed, the story of Tim, a young man who becomes a Christian at summer camp and then must face parents who are atheists and a friend who doesn't share his beliefs. Baha'is of Hernando County will host a free talk, "Creation or Evolution - A Baha'i Perspective," by Walter Klein at 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at Spring Hill United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd. Transportation is available. Contact Dori Peloquin at 666-7280.
Temple Beth David, 13158 Antelope St., has tickets available for the High Holy Days services. The Slichot dessert reception and service will be at 8 p.m. Sept. 9; Rosh Hashana services are at 8 p.m. Sept. 12 and 10 a.m. Sept. 13; the Kol Nidre service is at 8 p.m. Sept. 21; Yom Kippur services are at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sept. 22. The Women's Guild of Forest Oaks Lutheran Church, 8555 Forest Oaks Blvd., will resume its meetings with a kickoff breakfast served by the church's Men's Club at 9 a.m. Sept. 8 in the fellowship hall. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 2301 Deltona Blvd., invites community youth to participate in its new Wednesday night youth music ministry. A band is being formed for youth and parents. Meetings are at 6 p.m. in Krysher Hall. The senior group ages 11 and up will meet the first and fourth Wednesdays; the junior group (under 11) will meet the third Wednesdays. A CAYA (come as you are) service will begin in October on the second Wednesday. Fifth Wednesdays will be special feature nights. Call Jody Bowes at 683-2010.
