Senior meals

Pasco County operates nine congregate dining sites that offer a nutritious meal and various program activities. There is no charge for these meals, but donations are requested. Additionally, Pasco County delivers meals to homes of frail elderly through two programs: The Elderly Nutrition Program meal is offered for a donation only. The Meals on Wheels program requires a registration fee and a $5 fee per meal. Call to register. Monday:Closed for Labor Day.
Tuesday: Oven baked fish filet with tartar sauce, stewed tomatoes and okra, cheesy grits, whole grain sandwich bun with margarine, mixed fruit cup, low-fat milk.
Wednesday: Old-fashioned frankfurter with mustard, baked beans and tomato bits, warm cinnamon apples, cole slaw with shredded carrots, hot dog bun with margarine, low-fat milk.
Thursday: Minestrone soup, breaded chicken patty with chicken gravy, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, whole wheat bread with margarine, orange or apple, low-fat milk.
Friday: Lasagna casserole, spinach, Italian vegetable medley, tossed salad with Italian dressing, whole wheat bread with margarine, peaches, low-fat milk.
