Pinellas schools discuss safe routes

The Pinellas School District's transportation committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to talk about how the Aug. 28 opening of the Belcher Road extension affected Sutherland Elementary School and hear the results of a Safe Routes to School parent survey required by the state Department of Transportation to find out how children are getting to school. The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Planning Department conference room at 600 Cleveland St., Suite 750, in Clearwater.
