Elson Hamlet of Valrico, top photo, Noel Pabon of Tampa, Carlos Morales of Riverview and Jose Vasquez of Tampa, bottom photo from left, compete Sunday in the first-ever La Chuchazo-Domino doubles tournament at the historic Largo Feed Store. Hamlet and his partner, Juan Aviles of Spring Hill, whose is seen playing a tile below, finished first among five teams, winning a coffee pot, domino holders, dominoes and gift certificates. Teams of two played double-six dominoes, which uses 28 tiles in 200-point rounds. Players try to win by laying all seven of their tiles first. Opponents' points are then counted toward a 200 point total. Strategies includes counting tiles, bluffing and blocking opponents by anticipating which tiles to play in order to stifle or confuse the other players.

Our tournament was a great time. It was sponsored by the City of Largo and the Tampa Bay Domino Club (www.tampabaydominoclub.com)
