Signups to end today for dixie girls softball

SPRING HILL
Today is the last day to sign up for the Spring Hill Dixie Girls Fastpitch Softball League. Girls, ages 5 to 18, can sign up from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Delta Woods Park recreation building on Deltona Boulevard. A copy of a birth certificate is required. The cost is $55 per player. Dinner to benefit foster care group
A dinner dance benefit for the Foster Care Association of Hernando County will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 15 at VFW Post 10209, 15166 Spring Hill Drive. The event will include a chicken dinner, beverages, dessert and entertainment. Tickets are $15 each. For information, call Linda Hoins at 754-0377.

Fundraiser to help Dawn Center
The Home Business Women's Network Group of Spring Hill will host a fundraiser to benefit the Dawn Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Sylvan Grove's Community Clubhouse, 2490 Kingswood Circle. Vendors are still needed. The cost per table is $25. Call Sue at 684-9299.
