Broken scoreboard can't stop Cougars
As Durant attempted to win Friday night's game against East Bay, the Cougars faced a monumental challenge in the final quarter.
A malfunctioning scoreboard.
"It went out with about nine minutes left," Durant coach Mike Gottman said.
To say the least, that made things tough.
But with time being kept on the field, the Cougars kept their cool and marched into scoring position with the clock winding down.
"It was really tough," Gottman said. "I didn't want the time to run out, so I had to tell the ref to call timeout with one second left."
At that point, Durant turned to kicker Evan Kelly, who nailed a winning 24-yard field goal in a 24-21 win.
