Florida Marine is killed in Iraq

MOUNT DORA - A 22-year-old Marine corporal from Florida was among four killed last week in Iraq, the Defense Department said Monday.

Cpl. Christopher L. Poole Jr. of Mount Dora and the others died Thursday in Iraq's Al Anbar province. All four were assigned to the 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion out of Camp Pendleton, Calif.

Poole was a ground communications organizations technician who joined the Marine Corps in 2004.
