Pithlachascotee cleanup will be Saturday

NEW PORT RICHEY New Port Richey and the Recreation Department are gearing up for an annual cleanup day Saturday in and along the banks of the Pithlachascotee River. Volunteers should meet about 8 a.m. at the boat ramp across from Sims Park, where they will be split into teams to remove debris and litter for a few hours. The cleanup will end about 11:30 a.m., when the city will host a lunch at the park for all of the volunteers. For information call (727) 853-1016 or visit www.cityofnewportrichey.org.
