TAMPA - A Bucs backup offensive lineman crashed a teammate's Porsche SUV into a classic muscle car parked in a driveway early Monday, authorities said.
Tackle Donald Penn was cited in the crash, in which he was driving a 2005 Porsche Cayenne owned by defensive lineman Greg Spires, according to an accident report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
No one was hurt in the wreck, which occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on S Lagoon Street in the Town 'N Country area west of Tampa International Airport.
Penn failed to stop at an intersection, went off the road and into a yard and slammed into a red 1965 Oldsmobile 442, the Sheriff's Office report said. The collision knocked the Oldsmobile into the house at 8807 S Lagoon St., causing minor damage to a wall. The Porsche SUV also crashed into a parked truck.
Both the Olds and the truck are owned by the family that lives in the house. According to the accident report, Spires lives nearby.
Penn, 24, was cited for careless driving and failure to obtain a Florida driver's license.
The crash report does not indicate toxicology tests were done or further action will be taken, sheriff's spokesman J.D. Callaway said.
Penn is in his second NFL season out of Utah State.
