Two firsts planned for this month

SPRING HILL ELEMENTARY
The school will hold its first School Advisory Council meeting at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the Media Center. Call 797-7030, ext. 212, or e-mail wmorgan27@tampabay.rr.com
The school also will hold its first Hernando County Resource Night from 5 to 7 p.m. Sept. 27 in the cafeteria. For information, call Kelly Balch at 398-1565 or Elizabeth Zielesch at 666-6884 by Sept. 24.
PINE GROVE ELEMENTARY
School will hold Title I meeting
The school will hold its Title I annual meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight. Parents should go to their children's classrooms.
POWELL MIDDLE SCHOOL
Advisory council to choose officers
The school Microsociety and Performing Arts Center's School Advisory Council will meet at 6:30 tonight in the Media Center, 4100 Barclay Ave. Members and officers for the 2007-08 school year will be elected at this meeting. Call 797-7095.
D. S. PARROTT MIDDLE SCHOOL
Title I meeting is set for Sept. 20
The school will hold a Title I meeting at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in the cafeteria and is offering a spaghetti dinner for $1 per family.
FOX CHAPEL MIDDLE SCHOOL
Meeting, open house scheduled
The Enhancement Council and Title I Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the media center. Parents are welcome.
The school will hold its open house for sixth-graders at 6 p.m. Tuesday, for seventh-graders Wednesday and for eighth-graders Sept. 20. Dinner is available for $1 per person from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Tiger Cafe.
After dinner parents will meet in their children's first-period classroom. The book fair will be open in the media center, and there will be free tutoring information available.
YMCA CHOIR OPPORTUNITY FOR CHILDREN
Choir to be offered at three schools
YMCA New Generation Holiday Choir is starting soon. Beginning the week of Sept. 24 through Dec. 14 the YMCA will offer choir at Chocachatti, Westside and Spring Hill elementary schools. For information, call Therese Romulus at 686-9622.
