Scott Martin Weigand has been suspended without pay from his job at Wal-Mart in Largo.
Pinellas County sheriff's Cpl. Kurt Romanosky's phone just keep ringing Wednesday.
The day before, the agency arrested Scott Martin Weigand on three charges of lewd and lascivious exhibition for allegedly wrapping himself in a towel, exposing himself to young boys while wearing a fake penis and videotaping the encounters at local public swimming pools.
Now Romanosky's voicemail was full: A good sign for the investigation, but a bad sign for the community. Other victims may be out there, he said.
Weigand allegedly lurked in the Clearwater YMCA locker rooms twice, once in March and once in April.
On his third trip to the facility, Weigand, who had presented the staff with a photo ID with the name Wade Martin, was informed he had used up his free guest privileges and turned away.
Waiting out in the parking lot for him were sheriff's detectives who arrested him and booked him into the Pinellas County Jail. He was being held in lieu of $60,000 bail.
Although investigators had been watching Weigand for a month, the YMCA didn't know about his activities.
"We learned of it when police cars pulled up and arrested him," said Mandy Griffith, director of communications and marketing for the YMCA of the Suncoast. "The first we heard of it was yesterday."
After he was arrested, detectives said they found several videos connecting Weigand to the crimes.
Sheriff's deputies said no youngsters were flashed at the YMCA, which may be because the young boys' shower area is separated from the adult males.
"Our safeguards are in place and it served us well," Griffith said.
According to Romanosky, there were more than three victims, who were all at the Golda Meir/Kent Jewish Center.
Weigand was not a member at the facility.
Calls to the center were not returned Wednesday.
According to the Sheriff's Office, Weigand is from Louisiana. He lives at the Sunbeam Motel at 164 Clearwater-Largo Road.
He is employed at Wal-Mart in Largo, but what he does there is still unclear. Because of the arrest, he won't be welcomed back until his name is cleared.
"It's Wal-Mart's policy to suspend an associate who is charged with a crime without pay until the case is resolved," said company spokesman Dan Fogleman.
