Grand design, still standing

This is a view looking south on what is now called Grand Boulevard. The large building with the cupola was called the Pasco Building when it opened in 1926. The building was designed by Thomas Reed Martin of Sarasota, a leading architect in Florida. Martin also designed the Hacienda Hotel. The builder was L. C. Luppens, who also built the Richey Suncoast Theatre (originally called the Meighan Theatre).
