Valid business expenses?

Investigators believe the owners of Gulf Coast Title misappropriated $7.99-million and spent it on a country club home, a condo, a fleet of luxury cars and lavish business expenses. Here is a partial list of American Express receipts paid out of the company's operating account and listed as business expenses for 2003.
