Into the rabbit hole

"Come, we shall have some fun now!" thought Alice of Alice and Wonderland fame as she joined the table at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party on Friday. The White Rabbit came to the party, fashionably late. The Queen and the dormouse came, too. The Friends of the Sunshine Center acted out the Mad Hatter's Tea Party in honor of the center's 30-year anniversary. About 70 people came to the downtown St. Petersburg center to celebrate, "with a high tea, high jinks and high spirits." After actors performed the Mad Hatter's scene from Lewis Carroll's classic, guests were served crumpets, cakes, cookies and tea. No word on whether the Cheshire cat attended. Perhaps it just vanished before we got there.
