Historical Halloween Summertime marketplace

Check out vintage postcards, costumes from the early 1900s to the 1960s, paper decorations, antique papier-mache pumpkins and more at "Dunedin Celebrates the Origins of Halloween" exhibit, on display from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Saturday at the Dunedin Historical Museum, 349 Main St., Dunedin. Plumb House Museum: Tour the historic Plumb House Museum, an original Cracker-style house built in 1896. It houses period furnishings, vintage photographic collections and artifacts. Charity event: The fifth annual "Fashions with Flair" fundraiser will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Belleair Country Club, 1 Country Club Lane, and features a fashion show, luncheon, raffle and silent auction. Ride the rails: Kids and adults can experience large-scale model railroading and the hobby of live steam firsthand with a ride on the Largo Central Railroad. Colorful creativity: An exhibition of watercolors by Viv Ruegger titled "The Alice Project," Ruegger's artistic interpretation of the timeless story of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, and The Figuerido, a sculpture by Cindy Jones, are on display in the Carnegie and Osceola Galleries of the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N Osceola Ave. Hand-crafted jewelry by Mary and Otto Glass can be viewed in the library's first floor lobby. Folk Art exhibition:O Appalachia: Artists of the Southern Mountains, from the Ramona and Millard Lampell Collection, an exhibit comprised of more than 96 folk art objects by 34 self-taught artists from the mountain regions of Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama, is on display until Nov. 4 at the Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art, 600 Klosterman Road, Tarpon Springs.
