PORT RICHEY Christian Mancero, the infant whose father is accused of cracking his skull, is expected to survive, Port Richey police Detective James Ruland said Wednesday. Christian's swelling and bruising have diminished. "The baby's doing all right," Ruland said. But Ruland did not know whether Christian would be able to develop normally. Christian's father, Max Mancero, 22, is charged with aggravated child abuse in the Sept. 10 incident, though it is unclear exactly how Christian was injured. Mancero has been released from jail on $10,000 bail.
