Miami (2-1) vs. No. 20 Texas A&M (3-0), 7:45 p.m., Thursday The Hurricanes got a strong performance last week from quarterback Kyle Wright, who threw for 244 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 44 yards in a 23-9 victory over Florida International. Wright started after Kirby Freeman struggled in his first two starts. Wright connected with Lance Legget on an 80-yard touchdown pass, showing some of that old Miami flair in the air. But the 'Canes haven't exactly lit it up with the passing game. UM's relying a lot on its running backs, spearheaded by Javarris James, who rushed for 92 yards last week. He leads the 'Canes with 219 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The defense will have its hands full with the Aggies, who enter ranked fifth in the nation in rushing offense and 11th in scoring offense. The Aggies defeated Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday 54-14. They are led by dual-threat quarterback Stephen McGee, who averages 87.6 yards per game and has two rushing touchdowns. The last time theteams met was in 1944 when the Aggies won 70-14 in the Orange Bowl. And as far as Thursday night games are concerned, Miami is 10-1, A&M is 9-0.
