NEW YORK - The New York Yankees may still be trailing the Boston Red Sox in the standings, but team owner and Tampa resident George Steinbrenner III had a reason to celebrate Thursday.

With a net worth of $1.3-billion, Steinbrenner, 77, placed 380th among the 400 richest Americans, according to Forbes magazine's ranking for 2007. It was his first appearance on the list.

Shopping center developer and Tampa resident Eddie DeBartolo Jr., 60, was 271st with $1.8-billion, down from 242nd last year.
