Simpson returns to Florida as case unfolds

As O.J. Simpson returned to his home in Florida, the case in Las Vegas continued with initial proceedings against his co-defendants.

Bail was set at $32,000 for Michael McClinton, whose lawyer said his client won't be able to raise the money to get out of jail. Bill Terry also accused the prosecutors of overreaching in the case.

"The kidnapping allegation, particularly, is fairly thin," he told Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure Jr.

Another defendant, Charles Cashmore, also made an initial appearance before Bonaventure, who ordered him held without bail pending arraignment and a bail hearing today. Formal charges will be filed against Cashmore by then, said Danielle Pieper, a Clark County prosecutor.

Alfred Beardsley, 46, an accuser along with Bruce Fromong, appeared in another courtroom and told a judge he would not contest his return to custody in California on a parole violation, a court spokesman said. A parole official declined to say when or where Beardsley would be moved.

Simpson flew home late Wednesday to the Miami area and refused to answer reporters' questions about the case. Simpson, who was famously acquitted in 1995 of murdering his ex-wife and her friend but found liable for the deaths in a civil trial, left the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood airport in an SUV to travel to his home in Kendall.

As Simpson flew home, US Airways emptied a plane so he could board first with his attorney, Yale Galanter, and girlfriend, Christine Prody.

Simpson sat in an aisle seat in economy class. Passengers who boarded behind him took pictures with cell phones and cameras. He nodded and smiled as they passed, then slept from Las Vegas to South Florida.

Hey is OJ going to use the racial card to say the justice system is picking on a black man. Will Al and Jessie be having a march for OJ? lets all say it Black Power! If Oj goes to jail guess there will be riots and dumping of some good OJ at stores

I'm not saying he did or didn't commit murder, and my comment is not tick for tack. I just believe oj was railroad and if he's guilty, justice will prevail at the time of God's judgement.

why is everyone so damn mad at oj, is it because a white woman and a white man were killed, or that oj hit his deceased wife. we donot know what kind of woman nicole was, was she on drug? did she owe a drug dealer money? was ron in the wrong place?

We all know O.J. did it but this episode has nothing to do with Nicole Simpson. Personally, I would have left the country after being acquitted but we all have our own way of doing things. O.J. stop with the street justice!

it's sounds as a setup- shame on any one who thinks he is a murderer.

It is amazing to me that Simpson is still afforded the life of someone we should be looking up to. They cleared the plane so a murderer could board and left the rest of us to fend for ourselves. Speaks volumes about our society and its priorities.

US Airways YOU'VE LOST A "frequent flyer". Ms. Clark nice to see your face again (more beautiful as time has gone by). However we now get to read another chapter O.J. Law. Vegas, whatever happens there should have stayed there. Money talks again!

I could not see myself thinking that this kind of set up and injustice can be going on in Usa, or is this a dreamer? how can u conclude a case before you take the person to court?this is like what you obtain in thirth world countries.let OJ ALONE OK
