PLANT CITY - Sirchauncey Holloway made his comeback from injury in grand style, rushing for 245 yards and three touchdowns to lead Plant City to a 27-0 thrashing of Bloomingdale.
Holloway didn't take long to begin his stellar night, taking the first play from scrimmage 60 yards for a touchdown to give the Raiders (3-1) the early lead.
Holloway scored twice more before the end of the half - from 4 yards and 9 yards out - and had rushed for 186 yards by halftime.
Placekicker John Dupree accounted for the rest of the Raiders' scoring, hitting on three of his extra point attempts and kicking field goals from 33 and 41 yards.
The Raider defense thoroughly dominated the Bull offense. Bloomingdale (1-3) was only able to muster 63 passing yards and 32 rushing yards for the game.
The Raiders also won the turnover battle, grabbing three interceptions and one fumble while the Bulls had two interceptions and one fumble recovery
Penalties were a problem for the Raiders, hit seven times for 81 yards. The Bulls also faced some penalty difficulty, with seven penalties for 81 yards.
After the game, Holloway said he had completely recovered from the injury he sustained two weeks ago. "I've never had so many rushing yards before," he said.
Injuries mounted for both squads as the game progressed. Starting Raiders quarterback Clint Stearns went down early with an arm injury. Coach Kevin Kelly had no news concerning the quarterback other than to say that he was waiting for the results of X-rays.
Both the starting and backup quarterbacks for the Bulls, Jose Alvarez and Shane Geyer, left the game with unknown injuries.
