Brooksville Daystar Life Center: 7120 Hope Hill Road (just south of St. Anthony's church), provides food, clothing and some emergency utilities assistance to families in need. Needed: non-perishable food, soups, canned meats, canned fruits and vegetables, paper products, diapers (all sizes) and cash donations. They also need items to sell at their weekly garage sale, proceeds from which buy food supplies. Call 799-5930.
Christmas Angel Program Of Hernando County: Sponsors are needed for monetary or gift donations, as well as used computers (500 mgz or more) for children in special need, teens and approaching college students. Also needed is the use of a building in the Weeki Wachee or Spring Hill area, from mid-November through the end of December, for volunteers to work in wrapping and coordinating the gifts. The facility needs to have electricity and preferably air conditioning. The organization will pay for the use of electric. Call 596-1552.

"The Beautiful Mind" Consumer-Run Drop In Center: 10554 Spring Hill Drive, provides support groups, employment skills training, basic educational and computer training and social activities for the mentally ill. Needed: volunteers, drivers, folding tables and chairs, copy paper, paper plates, hot and cold cups, napkins, plastic utensils, tablecloths, soda, coffee, snacks and gift certificates. Call 684-0004.
Catholic Charities Pregnancy And Parenting Support Services: 1423 Kass Circle, provides free pregnancy tests, baby clothes, adoption services and many other services for pregnant women. Big Brothers/Big Sisters Of Hernando County: 15120 County Line Road, provides adult mentors for children from single-parent homes. Needed: volunteers (all ages) to serve as mentors to the boys and girls on the waiting list. Call 684-7904.
