Vendors and crafters are needed for the following nonprofit events:
Spring Hill United Church of Christ's semi-annual rummage sale and outdoor tailgate flea market, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 4 and 8 to 11 a.m. Oct. 5, 4244 Mariner Blvd., Spring Hill. The rummage sale will be in the fellowship hall and the tailgate flea market will be in the parking lot. Outdoor vendor spaces is $10 for one day or $15 for two. Gigantic Flea Market at First United Methodist Church, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20, 9344 Spring Hill Drive. For vendor space information, call Hal at 683-2467. For event information, call John at 666-7902.
Craft and flea market to benefit All Children's Hospital, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 20, Sam's Club, 13360 Cortez Blvd., Spring Hill. Spaces are $15 each. Call Sandy after 3 p.m. at 727 858-5096.
Heather Property Owners Association's annual Arts and Crafts Fair, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 20, Heather Community Center, 9100 Nakoma Way, Weeki Wachee. Indoor tables (5-foot or 8-foot) and outdoor spaces (10-foot by 10-foot) are available for $10 each. Tables are limited. Call 596-5028.
14th annual Sonshine Arts and Crafts Festival, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 27, Christ Lutheran Church, 475 North Ave. W, Brooksville. Indoor table and outdoor space reservations are $15. Reservations must be received by Sept. 30. Sponsored by the Mary Martha Guild of the church, proceeds will benefit the youth groups and their projects. 36th annual Citrus County Festival of the Arts, Nov. 1-4, Courthouse Square, off U.S. 41, Inverness. Artists wishing to participate must complete an application, available online at www.cityofinvernessonline.com; send e-mail to festivalinfo35@yahoo.com or call (352) 726-3913 or (352) 382-2191. Applications are also available at all Citrus County Chamber of Commerce offices (401 Tompkins St., Inverness; 28 NW U.S. 19, Crystal River; and 3495 S Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa). This is a juried show with purchase awards and about $10,000 in prize money. In addition to regular exhibitors, artists from area schools will display their work. There is no admission charge to attend the festival.
A Taste of Jazz, 10 a.m. Nov. 3 and 4, Weeki Wachee Springs, 6131 Commercial Way, Weeki Wachee. Cosponsored by the Hernando County Fine Arts Council and Hernando Jazz Society. The event is included with regular park admission prices. Spaces are available for food vendors and artists of "wearable" art. Corporate sponsorships are available. Spring Hill Art League's 34th annual Fall Harvest of Art show, Nov. 17 and 18, at the Outlet Shopping Mall, 3021 Commercial Way, Spring Hill. Festival of Trees, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 30 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 1, St. Anthony Catholic Church, 20428 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. Sponsored by the Brooksville Woman's Club. This is an indoor event. Vendors, crafters and nonprofit organizations are invited to participate. Applications for table rentals are now available. Hernando County Fair Association's outdoor Flea Market, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday, except during the annual Hernando County Fair. Vendor spaces are available for $10 a day. The fairgrounds is at 6436 S Broad St. Call 796-4552.
Market on Main Street, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month, on Main Street, between Broad and Liberty streets, as well as in the city parking lot next to 31 S Main St., Brooksville. Vendor spaces (10-foot by 10-foot) are available to those selling produce, plants and shrubbery, antiques, collectibles, crafts, woodwork, jewelry, candles, baskets, quilts and miscellaneous items.
