The Seifrieds

Ed and Pat Seifried celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 21, 2007, with family and friends. They were married Sept. 21, 1957, in Folkston, Ga.

Mr. Seifried came here in 1946 from Alexandria, Va. He has been a general contractor in the area for 50 years. Mrs. Seifried came here in 1953 from Oakmont, Pa. She retired from Honeywell and is the owner of Travel Beyond travel agency in South Pasadena. They are both graduates of St. Petersburg High School.

They enjoy traveling and have three children, and five grandchildren.

The Sheppards

George N. and Maria W. Sheppard celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with a lunch hosted by their children. They were married Aug. 9, 1952, at Espirito Santo Catholic Church, Bogota, Colombia, and came here in 1974 from Australia. They also lived in Trinidad, Venezuela, Barbados and Guyana.

Mrs. Sheppard was a homemaker. Mr. Sheppard worked as a cabinet maker, a shop owner and an installation manager for a major oil company in Barbados.

They have four children, seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
