Nonprofits, pick up some PR strategies

Nonprofit organizations interested in learning public relations strategies can attend a seminar from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Community Room at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 Osceola Ave. The event is sponsored by the GFWC Clearwater Community and North Pinellas Woman's Club along with the Clearwater Public Libraries and Countryside High School. Guardianship course at SPC

St. Petersburg College is offering a state-approved professional guardianship training course starting at 6 p.m. Tuesdayat the Clearwater campus, 2465 Drew St. The 48-hour course will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays for eight weeks. Give input on next year's assignment

A community input meeting for the proposed student assignment plan for 2008-2009 will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pinellas Park High School, 6305 118th Ave. N, Largo. 'Nutcracker' auditions soon

Auditions for the Tampa Dancenter's annual production of The Nutcracker will be Sept. 29 and 30 at the center, 2735 Whitney Road, Clearwater. All roles for children and adults are open.
