Lake Okeechobee was at its lowest level in many years just before the rainy season. Now that we've had some rain, how is the lake level?
- Gregory Parmenter
Lake Okeechobee's level Monday was 9.74 feet, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. That's up from 9.04 feet in July, but it's still far from normal. The average level between 1965 and 2006 was 14.82 feet. A year ago the lake was at 13.43 feet; two years ago it was at 15.57 feet.
