Lecture series returns to dali museum

The "Dali & the Avant-Garde Lecture Series" returns to the Salvador Dali Museum at 6:30 p.m. Thursday with a program, "Behind Dali's Biblia Sacra: The Unfamiliar Origins of the World's Best-Known Sacred Text."

Keith White, a professor in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, will discuss the surprising, and sometimes shocking, world behind the familiar Bible verses illustrated by Dali. The lecture is free with paid admission ($5 after 5 p.m.). The museum is at 1000 Third St. S, St. Petersburg. Call (727) 823-3767.

TAMPA

Faith symposium is Friday at church

The Florida Department of Juvenile Justice's Circuits 6 and 13 Faith Community Network, based in the Tampa Bay area, will hold its first Faith and Community Network Regional Symposium, 8 to 4 p.m. Friday at Without Walls International Church, 2511 N Grady Ave., Tampa.

Michelle Tellone of Joy FM 88.1 and 91.5 will emcee the event. The program will include a panel discussion with eight local professionals, a youth panel and 10 workshops.
