Food drive
First United Methodist Church, 5901 Indiana Ave., will host the United Methodist Women Cooperative Ministry at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The World Service speaker is Donna Ratzlaff. Church Women United will hold a Fall Forum at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Eileen Huntington will portray Susanna Wesley in period costume, and pastor Tim Haas will speak on Methodism in the United States. Nonperishable food will be collected for the Christian Covenant Church food pantry. Women of all Christian faiths, races and cultures are invited to pray for peace and justice in the world. Dade City
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints, 9016 Fort King Road, will present a satellite broadcast from noon to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 6-7. The conference will feature addresses by Gordon B. Hinckley, president of the church and other members of the First Presidency and Council of the 12Apostles.
