The Kiwanis Club of Tarpon Springs has moved its meetings to the clubhouse at Cypress Run Golf Club, 2669 St. Andrews Blvd., Tarpon Springs. Meetings are at 6 p.m. on the first and third Wednesday of the month.

Kiwanis is designed for people who desire personal involvement in improving their community, focusing primarily on the needs of local children.

Clearwater Civitan was the conduit for a $10,000 individual gift to the Homeless Emergency Project Inc. In doing do, the Clearwater Civitan Club became one of the prime sponsors of the Otis C. Green Memorial Golf Tournament to be held Oct. 12 at the Belleair Country Club, 1 Country Club Lane.

The Clearwater Civitan Club will join HEP employees and volunteers working the golf course during the tournament and will have a foursome entered. The Clearwater Civitans are challenging neighboring service clubs in Pinellas County to enter and sponsor foursomes.
