Indoor sports: The Pasco County Parks and Recreation Department is holding indoor soccer for adultsfrom 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays. There is no cost to play.

Adults also can play indoor floor hockey from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursdays at Veteran's Memorial Park in Hudson. There is no cost to play.

Senior aerobics activities started Monday and will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The program is free.

5-mile run: The Rattlesnake Run, a 5-mile trek through Pasco County, will be Oct. 20.

The race will start at 8 a.m. in San Antonio.

The race is in its 29th year and is the second oldest in the Tampa Bay area. The 41st Rattlesnake Festival will be after the races.

There also will be 1-mile events - a fun run; a team fun run, where an adult and child run together; and a runner-dog team run, where owners and leashed dogs run together.

The cost is $15 for the 5-mile and $13 for the 1-mile if you register by Oct. 16.

The 1-mile team event is $20, and the dog race is $15.

Race-day registration begins at 6:45 a.m.

Triathlon: The Longleaf Triathlon International and Sprint distance will be Oct. 21 in New Port Richey.

A children's triathlon will be Oct. 20. Register by going to active.com.

Costs are $65 for sprint distance, $90 for the international individual distance, $120 for the international relay team and $30 for the youth triathlon.

Badminton: The Holiday Recreation Complex will host a badminton tournament Dec. 1 and 2.

There will be singles, doubles and mixed doubles in a double-elimination tournament.

The registration deadline is Nov. 28, and the cost is $10 per person.

Freewheelers: The Tampa Bay Freewheelers bicycle club will have its Hilly Hundred on Oct. 21, starting at Pasco-Hernando Community College in Dade City.

There will be rides of 18, 34, 63 and 100 miles. Registration is at 6:30 a.m., and there will be a 7:30 a.m. mass start. The cost is $22.

SWAMP Club: Registration is going on for the 2007 Alafia Fat Tire Festival, which will be held Nov. 9 in Lithia, south of Brandon.

The cost for the three-day event is $75 per person and $65 for South West Association of Mountain-bike Pedalers members.

Saturday-only registration is $60, and Sunday-only registration is $20 - neither day's fees include event SWAG or camping.

Children (younger than 13) with an accompanying parent are half price.

Registration is limited to the first 300 applicants, and the deadline is Oct. 19.

There will be no event day registration.
