ST. PETERSBURG - Patricia Waltrich, named interim executive director of the South Pinellas District Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in July, has been given the permanent post.

She replaces Sophie Sampson, who resigned in June because of health problems.

Waltrich has had a long career in communications and public relations. Until recently, she was St. Vincent de Paul's volunteer manager of public affairs.

Waltrich will oversee the agency's 26 employees, its food center, thrift store, 88-room Center of Hope transitional housing complex, nighttime shelter for the homeless and emergency assistance hotline.

Give it to them Bill!!! Yes, she does have a big job ahead of her. Especially since she may have to clean that up herself. Lord knows they wont clean it.

Good now maybe they will clean up that parking lot under the 375 exit on 5th ave north. Everyday there are homeless sleeping down there and trash every where. It's a eye sore and health hazard to the city of St Pete.
