Robber got the cash, then came bullets
When a man came in to Papa Dan's Food Store Thursday night waving a black revolver and demanding cash, Nasief Oudeh handed over the money. But then his co-worker fired. Samer Hamdan, 36, pulled the trigger once at the robber from the store's soda aisle, but missed him, according to a police report. The robber turned his attention toward Hamdan, then back to Oudeh, 38. Then, as the robber ran out of the store with the stolen cash, police said, he fired a shot at Oudeh. Tampa police are searching for a black man in his early 20s with a short haircut. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a blue bandana over his face, a blue hat, a black shirt and blue jeans. Police said he ran from the store, located at 9201 N 46th St., south across Busch Boulevard, after the 8:40 p.m. incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact Tampa police at (813) 232-6800.
