TAMPA - Jesuit quarterback Mitch Pfeiffer shredded Sarasota Booker's defense for 289 passing yards, but wishes he could have just one pass back. With the Tigers down 3-0 and inside the Tornadoes' 20 with 30 seconds to go in the first half, Pfeiffer's jump ball near the end zone was picked off by Booker defensive back Andre Hobbs, who took it back 98 yards for a touchdown. After trailing 17-0 late in the third, the Tigers fought back to within 17-12 on touchdown passes from Pfeiffer to Erick McGriff and Ryan Mitchell. But Tornadoes quarterback Brodrick Waters then hit Anthony Whitfield on a screen pass for an 80-yard touchdown to clinch it for Booker. Mitchell had six catches for 100 yards, and McGriff added five receptions for 93 yards. Hobbs had 77 yards on 12 rushes for Booker, and Derek Phillips added 72 yards on 12 carries.
