Sarasota Riverview 21, Riverview 14: The Sharks built a 14-0, third-quarter lead thanks to a touchdown catch by junior tight end Orson Charles. Sarasota Riverview returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown, then capitalized on a Sharks (1-4) fumble deep in their own territory. The game remained tied until Sarasota Riverview scored with about three minutes left. Cambridge 21, Out-of-Door 6: Lancers tailback Taylor Cabral shrugged off a sprained shoulder, rushing for about 250 yards to help snap a three-game losing streak for Cambridge (3-3). Dixon Phillips had a 40-yard touchdown catch from QB Etienne Turner, and Michael Miller added a 80-yard kickoff return for a TD after Out-of-Door had pulled to within 14-6. Tampa Catholic 29, St. Petersburg Catholic 0: The Crusaders' dominating defense showed why it could be the best coach Bob Henriquez has ever had; TC (4-1) racked up its third shutout, holding an opponent to under 100 yards of total offense for the second straight game. The Crusaders D, which has given up just nine points in five games, was sparked by sophomore defensive back Jeremi Wilkes (two interceptions) and Ralph Grover's 33 yard interception return for a TD.
