Keswick Christian 48, Calvary Christian 14: Calvary Christian made the smart play on the opening kick, booting the ball away from the dangerous Tarvin Jones. Curtis Fisher, however, was happy for the opportunity.
Fisher took the opening kick back 80 yards for a score as the Crusaders moved to 6-0 with the win against visiting Calvary Christian. Keswick scored all of its points in the first half, thanks to three touchdown runs from Jared DiMaggio of nine, five and 26 yards. Doug Sanson also caught a pair of scoring strike from Jared Stacy, one on a five-yard slant and the other a 20 yard reception. Jared Boddie rounded out the scoring with a five-yard dive late in the second half.
AJ Williams (99 yard kickoff return) and a 24-yard pass from Buddy Adzima to Jordan Ankrom accounted for Calvary's scoring.
Northside Christian 36, Admiral Farragut 7: Danny Speake came up big for the Mustangs, scoring four touchdowns in the district victory.
The Blue Jackets took the lead in the first quarter on Josh Burke's 6-yard run.
Then Speake went to work.
He scored on runs of 1, 78 and 2 yards. He also had an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Collin Hoke's 22-yard run rounded out Northside's scoring.
