UF's 3 key matchups

Florida tight end Cornelius Ingram vs. LSU safety Craig Steltz
LSU likes to play its safety as almost a fourth linebacker, which is part of what makes the Tigers so good against the run. But at 6 feet 4, 230 pounds Ingram has size, strength and speed that can counter the 6-2 Steltz. If Florida establishes Ingram across the middle and makes Steltz cover, that will take him out of the box and open up the middle for the Gators. Ingram having success up the middle also opens up wider possibilities for receiver Percy Harvin in deep-passing situations.
Florida left guard Jim Tartt vs. LSU left tackle Glenn Dorsey
Dorsey is arguably the best defensive lineman in the nation, but the last time Florida and LSU met, Tartt more than held his own against the future NFL player. Now he'll need to do it again. QB Tim Tebow up the middle with Dorsey coming at him won't be like any opponent the Gators have faced this season. And with Dorsey coming at Tebow from his blind side, Tartt needs to have the game of his life.
LSU cornerback Chevis Jackson vs. Florida receiver Andre Caldwell
If Caldwell is nearly 100 percent healthy, as he says he is, this could be a critical matchup for the Gators. Caldwell missed two games with a sprained MCL and sat out most of last week's game, still trying to get strong enough to play. His presence has been missed, particularly because teams have been able to double the Gators' other receivers, forcing UF to rely too much on Harvin and Tebow. A healthy Caldwell brings another dimension of speed and the deep threat to the offense. Jackson vs. Caldwell pits seniors who know what's at stake and thrive in big-game situations.
