High Fives Navy Seaman Recruit Kevin K. Dwyer, son of Wanda J. and Dan S. Dwyer, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. During the eight-week program, Dwyer completed a variety of training, which included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival, shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness. The capstone event of boot camp is "Battle Stations," an exercise that gives recruits the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the fleet. Battle Stations is designed to galvanize the basic warrior attributes of sacrifice, dedication, teamwork and endurance through the practical application of basic Navy skills and core values of honor, courage and commitment.Dwyer is 2007 graduate of River Ridge High School in New Port Richey. * * * Trinity College of Florida announced that Richard C. Henricksen was named vice president of business and finance at the college Henricksen holds a degree in banking and finance from Edison College of Southwest Florida. He spent 19 years with Sun Trust Bank in the areas of contingency planning, accounting, mortgage loan operations and management. From 1995 to September 2007, Henricksen served as assistant to the district superintendent for business and finance with the Southeastern District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Orlando. President of Trinity College Dr. Mark T. O'Farrell said "He brings community experience, expertise and a keen insight into personnel management.
