Simply Sumi-e Workshop: Instruction in the ancient art of Sumi-e (Japanese brush painting) will be presented by artist Yolanda Mayhall at the Pasco Arts Council in a workshop on Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All are invited to participate as the artist guides students through the classical basic strokes of the Four Gentlemen: Bamboo, Wild Orchid, Chrysanthemum and Plum Branch. More advanced students can be led into the next levels of fruits and vegetables and landscapes. Fee: nonmembers $75, members $55. Class size limited. Vendors/Crafters needed: There is a Fall Festival and Bazaar scheduled for the benefit of the Good Samaritan Free Health Clinic of Pasco on Nov. 3 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. The festival is to be held at the Southern Pines Healthcare Center at 6140 Congress St., New Port Richey Table rental fee is $25 and includes lunch.
