Henri Bersoux

Vice president and general manager, PMSI MSA Services

Henri Bersoux comes to PMSI MSA Services, a Tampa provider of pharmacy products, from ACA Assurance, where he was president and CEO. Previously, he was vice president and general manager of Zenius Inc., a director at Ernst & Young, a senior communications associate at the American Council of Life Insurance. He also has worked for B2 Communications, David Apter & Associates and the Commission of the European Communities. He earned a bachelor's degree from Samford University.

Cindy Matthews

Director of marketing for West, Central and North Florida wireless operations, AT&T

Cindy Matthews assumes her new position with AT&T after 15 years of service, highlighted by work in Customer Care divisions, including financial services, loss prevention and customer lifecycle management. In 2000, Matthews joined the company's wireless marketing team for West, Central and North Florida, where she has served as customer retention manager and most recently as advertising and promotions manager. Matthews earned an associate's degree in architecture/design from International Fine Arts College.

Richard P. 'Rick' Russo Jr.

Vice president of commercial insurance and risk management, Lykes Insurance Inc.

Richard P. "Rick"Russo Jr. has been promoted at Lykes Insurance Inc., a subsidiary of Lykes Bros. Inc. of Tampa, where he has worked since 1998. Previously, Russo was a commercial insurance producer for Riedman Insurance, vice president of DAHLIA Corp., employee benefits producer at POE & Associates and an account executive at Dick Russo Insurance. Russo is a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tampa. He is a native of Tampa and lives in Valrico with his wife, Tanya, and their sons Chad and Ricky.

Jeff Bunting has been named senior art director at Paradise Advertising & Marketing, St. Petersburg. Bunting was senior art director at Cherry + Company, Seminole.

BANKING

Bob Rogers has been promoted to vice president at BB&T, St. Petersburg. Rogers was financial center leader.

Bruce R. Howry has been named vice president and branch manager at Synovus Bank at the St. Pete Beach office. Howry was vice president and branch manager/vice president at Regions Bank, St. Petersburg.

HEALTH CARE

H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, Tampa, announces these additions to its facility:Dr. Ambuj Kumar to assistant professor in the Health Outcomes program; Dr. Sahana Rajasekhara and Dr. Sorin Buga to assistant professors in the psychosocial and palliative care division; Dr. Anthony Schuster to assistant professor in the anesthesiology division; Shang-Tian Chuang to assistant professor in the anatomic pathology division; Dr. Roohi Ismail-Kahn to instructor and Dr. John Kiluk to assistant professor, both in the comprehensive breast division; Dr. Christine Laronga has been named department head of surgical oncology within the comprehensive breast clinic and will serve as medical director of the Don and Ericka Wallace comprehensive breast program/clinic at Moffitt; Dr. Philippe Spiess to assistant professor in the genitourinary oncology division; and Michael Benedict to vice president of clinical investigations. All appointments are to the interdisciplinary oncology department at the University of South Florida, Tampa.

INSURANCE

Debbie Hedigerhas been named vice president and consultant at Benefits Solutions Group Inc., Tampa. Hediger was a senior account executive in the employer solutions division at Wachovia Insurances Services, Tampa.

Michael LaRosa has been promoted to vice president and Tampa Bay area agency manager at First American, Tampa. LaRosa will be responsible for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic SEMA Division. LaRosa was vice president and counsel for First American Title's SEMA division's partnership department.

LEGAL

Abbey, Adams, Byelick, Kiernan, Mueller, Marone & Samis LLP announce the addition of Melissa D. Lum and Nicholas L. Ottaviano to the firm as associates. Lum was an associate attorney at Melkus, Fleming and Gutierrez PL, Tampa; and Ottaviano was an associate attorney at Randall J. Love & Associates PA, Port Richey. Juanita Laguerhas been named an accounting associate at Phillips Development & Realty LLC, Tampa. Laguer was an accounts payable clerk at Tower Diagnostics Center, Tampa.

UNIVERSITIES

N. John Simmons Jr. has been named executive-in-residence at the University of South Florida's College of Business, Tampa. Executive-in-residence is a program that brings executives into the classroom to help with particular projects, or serve as mentors and ambassadors. Simmons is director of Quantum Capital Partners, St. Petersburg.
