Spring Hill disc golfer ties for second

Brandi Laudermilch of Spring Hill is tied for second in points among amateur advanced women in the Fabulous Florida Disc Golf Tour.
Laudermilch took first at the Labor Day Luau disc golf championship and then second in the Florida State Championship. Both tournaments were held in September.
WORLDWIDE RUN: Several local runners already have registered for World Run Day on Nov. 11.
Constance McMahon and Brittany Oxendine, both of Brooksville, are registered for a 5K. Denise Simard of Spring Hill registered to run 5 miles.
Founded in 1999 by Long Island runner Bill McDermott, the event encourages participants to run their own specified distance and donate to their favorite charity.

SENIOR SOFTBALL: Dave Lowe, an infielder-outfielder with the Elk's Lodge team, led the West Hernando Athletic Club for Seniors league last week with a .824 batting average. As of last week, he had recorded seven doubles, one triple and eight RBI.
Jerry Flannery an infielder for American Legion and Ron Kladder of Good Shepherd both were hitting .750 as of last week.
Outfielder Steve Ulm of the Moose Lodge led the league with five triples, while outfielder Cesar Mendez of SunCoast led the league with four home runs and 21 RBI.
WEST COAST BEARS: The Brooksville-based minor league football team released its schedule.
The West Coast Bears open at home on Jan. 19 against the Bradenton Gladiators.
The Bears' home stadium is Central High School's football field.
Other dates: Jan. 26 at P.C. War Eagles; Feb. 2 vs. Fort Myers Spartans; Feb. 9 at East Coast Reapers; Feb. 16 vs. Orlando Outlaws; March 1 at Daytona Beach Vikings; March 8 vs. Treasure Coast Hornets; March 15 at Bradenton Gladiators; March 22 vs. P.C. War Eagles; March 29 at Fort Myers Spartans.
